Week Nine Session 1 & 2

Session One
Prototype

During this lesson we met up only briefly to discuss what we wanted to bring by tomorrow.
I did the initial version of our website. I included a countdown to the event and a guide to what ingedients can help improve focus, mood and energy. The colour scheme I decided to use are greens and browns to keep consistent with the clean and fresh theme we have. We've also decided to use zombies as our metaphor for uni students because of the similarities between them.

Session Two
Prototype/Test

During our studio session today I got ready for EX-Change and Interim the next week as my partner couldn't make class. I changed up and added more elements to the website including a recipes page and a Zombie page, which includes a portrayal of student experiences as zombies. I took real photos for the website and cooked the food myself to help give me an indication of what an easy meal for a uni student would be.

EX-CHANGE

After class I headed to ex-change to do a practice run of my interim presentation to a group of people who come from different areas of design. I found it really helpful as it helped me practice how to articulate myself.

Week Eight Session 1 & 2

Session One
Prototype/Test

Opened Brochure

Brochure  Spread

During our second round of user testing I was in charge of bringing these outputs to class.
The look and feel I was going for was clean and refreshing, as of the moment we aren't sure whether to continue with the illustration style that we have or try a different one

Week Seven Session 1 & 2

Session One
Define/Ideate

I came to class with my version of our user journey map. Me and my partner decided to do one each and then combine them together, making 3 initial ideas.

I also came with my two versions of our POV statement, a task I find really challenging because of its certain structure and I've had a few tries and misses before these. Some feedback I'd receive that was they were too much like a problem statement.

Session Two
Prototype/Test

Today we started our first round of user testing. We used paper for most of it. I found this convenient for rapid prototyping as we only had a couple of minutes to create something before we start user testing. Our outputs include social media, poster, brochure, packaging, stickers and a menu. It was interesting to get a fresh perspective from other people who haven't heard our concept before.

Week Six Session 1 & 2

Session One
Empathy/Define/ Ideate

After handing in our visual brief me and my partner decided to take some time to congratulate ourselves. Afterwards we started to brainstorm potential outputs for the next brief where we had ideas for the 'before','during' and 'after'. It was somehow broad at this point. I was determined to continue the nutrition brief and I was glad that my partner wanted to stay in a group with me as well. We were then asked to generate a POV statement to bring to next class.

Session Two
Empathy/Define/ Ideate

During this class we finished filling up our ethics form including our list of revised survey questions that we wanted to send out during the holidays. This is my first time sending out a form so I was not sure what to expect.

During the holidays the survey we sent out delivered unexpected results with one particular question. This was with if students were aware that nutrition affected everyday wellbeing, with 100% of the responses being "yes". As well as that most students who took the survey said they had at least 2-3 vegetables with their meals everyday. So me and my partner decided to sit down and try to understand that if awareness wasn't the problem what was? After looking through the survey again I had found that people responding to the "worst/most unhealthy experience" question were often mentioning that they would eat particularly poorly and making bad choices about food when they were either over eating or under eating.
